Galbani® Caprese Bacon Burger
Serves 2
INGREDIENTS
2 tbsp.
Extra virgin olive oil
1 lb.
Ground beef, 80/20
4 slices
Galbani Thin Sliced Fresh Mozzarella
4 slices
Bacon, cooked & drained
1
Vine-ripened tomato, sliced
2
Butter lettuce leaves
1 jar
Roasted onion jam
2 tbsp.
Mayonnaise
2
Burger buns, lightly toasted
Kosher salt, for seasoning
Freshly ground black pepper, for seasoning
METHOD
Heat olive oil in a large nonstick pan over medium-high heat.
Divide 1 pound of lean ground beef into 4 portions. Gently roll each one into a ball. Season all over with salt and pepper.
Heat the same skillet until very hot. Place 4 balls equally spaced in skillet, then use a non-slotted metal spatula to press each patty as thin as you can, pressing in different spots to ensure they’re as flat as possible.
Cook until browned on bottom. Carefully flip patties, making sure to scrape up the crust from the bottom.
Top each patty with a Mozzarella slice. Cook until other side is browned and cheese is melted.
To assemble burgers, spread onion jam on top bun and mayonnaise on bottom bun. From the bottom, layer lettuce, cheeseburger, tomato, and bacon—then repeat, and add top bun.
